Start shifting your sleep schedule two or three days before you fly, nudging bedtime earlier or later depending on which direction you're traveling. Staying hydrated and limiting alcohol on the plane also makes a noticeable difference in how you feel on arrival.

Once you land, get outside in daylight as soon as possible — natural light is the single strongest signal for resetting your body clock. If you're planning to drive shortly after landing, give yourself at least a few hours to recover before getting behind the wheel.
